Pupil Leadership Groups

 

At Livingston Village Primary we have a number of Pupil Leadership groups which allow the children to have a voice and make positive change within the school and wider community.  These groups represent the student population and give the children the opportunity to develop leadership roles.

House Captains

  • Meet regularly.
  • Help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.
  • Regularly visit all classes to gain their views and share information.
  • Maintains open communication between students and school staff.
  • Encourage all student council to participate in projects and activities.

 

The Sports Committee

  • Meet regularly.
  • Organise Fundraisers around sporting activities.
  • Assist in the requisition of new equipment.
  • Organise sports resources.
  • Assist in the organisation of Sports Day.
  • Lead Sports assemblies and share information at assemblies.

 

Young STEM Leaders

  • Meet regularly
  • Create and organise STEM events
  • Create and lead STEM activities
  • Lead and support assemblies
  • Keep records 

 

Digi Leaders

  • Meet regularly
  • Support all assemblies and performances
  • Support teaching staff
  • Create and lead digital learning
  • Organise and maintain storage of digital resources

 

Pupils Protecting the Planet

  • Meet regularly.
  • Keep records of meetings.
  • Lead Assemblies.
  • Take responsibility for measuring projects.
  • Create an Eco-Code.
  • Promote work with the whole school and wider community.
  • Keep the Eco-Schools noticeboard up to date.

 

Peer Mediators

  • Support pupils in the playground
  • Lead Peer Mediator Assemblies
  • Communicate with staff
